Recently I created a cleaning schedule for myself so that I didn’t forget when I cleaned things last. I have been living in the same house for almost 3 years now! This is the first time since I left my parents house for college that I have lived in the same place for an extended period of time. Because of this I time has been flowing together and I cant remember for the life of me when I clean stuff. Hopefully this spread will help remedy this.
Here is the Draw with me. If you like 1920’s music this may be interesting to you!
The Cleaning Schedule Spread / Collection
It only takes up 2 pages, but I expect it will be 2 pages well spent. I didn’t think to put this in the beginning of my bullet journal in the beginning of the year when I was setting this journal up. So this spread ended up living at the very end of my January section. That is what is so great about bullet journals! You can throw collections like this wherever you want! And more importantly you can put them where you have the space.
So you can see that I have 3 sections and a quote
In this section I put the things I need to get done every week, like mopping the kitchen floors and cleaning the bathroom. Within this section I have sub sections for every day of the week so that my daily cleaning wont get too overwhelming on any given day.
In the seasonal section I have listed out all the cleaning tasks I will need to do in each season. I divided up the tasks based on whether or not I can do them inside and if they are weather dependent. For example I will wash the windows twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the fall, because there aint no way I am going to try to clean windows in the winter. Ain’t no way, ain’t no how.
In the daily section I have all the tasks that I will need to do every day. I have this section subdivided into morning tasks and evening tasks. This way I can use this page as a checklist in the morning and evening to make sure I stay on top of the day to day minutiae of having a homestead of sorts.
4. The Quote
“Never do tomorrow, what you can do today” I love this quote. I’ve heard it all my life and have only just now started to take it to heart. I first saw this on a “Hip Homeschooling” video on how she does her cleaning schedule. I thought is was the perfect quote for this type of page.
The typeface for the quote I was inspired by this
The Unicorn Notebook: http://amzn.to/2lYlO28
which has the most beautiful and magical typeface on it you can imagine. It is so pretty!
I hope this cleaning schedule has inspired you to wrangle up your cleaning situation and start kicking your dirty house in the butt!
